Why It’s Alair-Approved
I stayed here before ILTM in December, and this remains one of my favorite hotels in Paris. It does not feel like a hotel, it feels like your own Parisian apartment, if your apartment happened to be a palace near some of the greatest shopping in Paris. My suite was enormous, the walk in closet alone makes you want to move right in. And that was before I had breakfast. The spread was amazing, perfect flaky croissants and hot cocoa to die for. And yes, there is a rooftop pool with views above Paris and a proper spa, for those days you would rather stay in. Most palace hotels are impressive. Le Bristol is personal, and that is why it wins.

When to Go
I stayed there in winter, and I would go back in winter in a heartbeat. Cold Paris, a huge suite to come home to, and hot cocoa downstairs is a perfect combination. Spring and early fall are best for the garden and the prettiest Paris weather, but the holidays are when this hotel feels most like home.

Best way to make the most of an early morning arrival?
Book the massage. While housekeeping makes your room perfect, the spa does the same for you. Fair is fair, and jet-lag is never a good look in Paris.
Get a suite if you can. The space is the point here, and that walk-in closet will ruin every other hotel closet for you. It’s bigger than a NYC apartment and will comfortably house your Paris shopping haul!
Le Bristol puts you near the greatest shopping in Paris. Dangerously near. Exhibit A, back in my suite, and I regret nothing.
